Mr. Curt Evans Mr. Evans has eight years of experience in patent and trademark litigation with a large D.C. area law firm. With his partners, he founded DEG in 2003 to assist law firms and corporations manage the discovery process more effectively, moving documents, demonstrative exhibits, and video testimony seamlessly into trial presentation software. Mr. Evans and DEG have successfully assisted clients recover over $1 billion in damages. In addition to providing general legal counsel, project management, trial consulting, and new product development, Mr. Evans speaks to attorneys and industry associations on technology utilization in the legal environment. He is considered an expert in the legal industry on video encoding, distribution of video content, synchronization of text to video, use of video for impeachment at trial, and trial presentation software applications. Mr. Evans holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University and a J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law Center. He is admitted to practice law in New York, the District of Columbia, and before the US Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. David Wiseman Mr. Wiseman has an MBA in Business Operations from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland and brings four years of consulting experience to DEG. Mr. Wiseman manages the scheduling and logistics of the court reporting and legal videography component of the business, including transcript production and distribution, vendor relations, and staffing. Mr. Wiseman also oversees the Accounting Department. Prior to DEG, Mr. Wiseman worked for Lexecon, where he assisted economic experts in providing testimony at trial. As a consultant for Accenture and Kana, he managed IT projects and delivered process improvements to Fortune 100 companies such as AllState, Ford, Sony and Washington Mutual. Mr. Paul Hugo Prior to DEG, Mr. Hugo accumulated nine years of litigation support service experience, first as a manager of complex patent litigation for two leading intellectual property law firms in Washington, DC, and then as a trial consultant managing courtroom presentations and developing presentation strategy. Mr. Hugo has been associated with over 100 trials in many State and Federal courts, and he is a member of the American Society of Trial Consultants. He has vast experience with complex trial presentation and has acquired expertise in trial presentation software, synchronization, video encoding, courtroom and war room equipment procurement and management, document scanning and graphics management. Mr. Hugo manages video production and trial services at DEG, and he is a graduate of Syracuse University.
